getting a Vintage Camera?
I'm thinking of getting a vintage camera, and I'm wondering which ones i should buy that is a good price and a good camera at the same time. I want to the the effect of the andy warhol days so around the 60's. Or even the 70's. so please recommend!
thanks.
or like this effect

I don't know why but I thought of the Olympus Half Frame cameras when I looked at that link. Probably because they shoot portrait rather than landscape.
I think it is a good thing to shoot with unusual equipment to see where it leads you. My favourite in this respect is the Pentax 110 SLR. Brilliant little cameras but you get a mixed bag of results. 110 cassette film is hard to buy and hard to get processed so I can't really say I'd recommend this as system to actually use anymore.
Don't pay too much either. I say that because I bought a 1970's camera - a professional camera - that tempted me. It was rather old when I bought it and it only worked well for 12 months. The manufacturer would still happily repair it but I would be rather unhappy with the repair bill...
I don't know how many half frame Olympus cameras come on the market or at what price. You might need to develop the films yourself - automated processing would be confused by the unusual frame size. You could process the negatives and then scan them which would give you the best of both worlds.
This is a link to some info on those Olympus cameras. Good luck!
